  • This Beech cutting gauge with a brass inlay by Crown Tools is good for marking accurate lines across grain without tearing, & is a good tool for cutting veneers as well. The high carbon steel cutting blade is held in place with a brass wedge. For best results, one must periodically hone the blade to a sharp edge for clean cuts across grain. A handsome tool manufactured from the finest kiln dried Beech.  Made in England.
